Bright Lights
A few weeks ago, TJ and I went down to NYC. Now, I understand completely that I would be living in NYC right now if I weren’t emotionally stunted and unable to be more than a five minutes walk from my family…and I am OKAY with that…lol…but I also understand that when I am a rich and famous photographer, I WILL have an apartment in the city….
So, I have the best luck with hotel rooms, and this trip was no exception. I hit the hotel jackpot and booked the world famous NYC landmark hotel, The Waldorf Astoria for about 30 bucks more than the Times Square Radisson was booking…A few smiles and nice talk to the guy at check in, and we were swiping our cards to get into the exclusive Waldorf Towers and riding our private elevator to the 41st floor. There are 42 floors, so you can imagine how psyched we were! It was sweet to sleep in history, and our hotel was like a museum itself, we were a floor below The Presidential Suite, the only place the president will stay when visiting NYC. Tj and I are pimps..haha. Anyways, after our wonderful nights sleep and some snuggling, we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, something we have wanted to do for a long time now. Museum overload, at it’s finest. Here are some pictures from our trip. Tj’s camera learning is also coming along amazingly, he took tons of photo’s at the museum. Enjoy!

This used to be covered with rug! Can you imagine?

I wish I could say this wasn’t one of my favorite things. Hahaha.

Waffle Cones, and Sunflowers - Buttonwood Farms, Griswold, Connecticut
Buttonwood is a staple of Strawberry Park Campground go-er’s and citizens of South Eastern Connecticut. If you have been lucky enough to go there, and smelled the amazing scent of their homemade waffle cones wafting through the air to great you when you get out of the car, you get what I am talking about. This amazing jewel of a place, with amazing views every way you turn, and the best ice cream I have ever had. All made their. And for a few weeks in the summer, they fill their fields with sunflowers! The sunflowers are sold and proceed’s go to Make a Wish Foundation. My sister was fortunate enough to have her wedding alongside the biggest field almost four years ago, on a lovely August evening. They also cut and set aside tons of their sunflowers for us to use as centerpieces. Needless to say, we love Buttonwood. Although our trip their Saturday night was after a tremendous thunderstorm, and the flowers had turned and were not their usual fluffy self, I was still able to make some amazing photo’s. Enjoy!

My momma (she has a dress on, promise..lol)

Sunset, Wine, and Lots of Love.
The GOUVEIA VINEYARDS in Wallingford, CT is a little piece of Heaven 10 minutes from my house. Beautiful views, yummy wine, such inspiration everywhere you turn, it is so hard no to want to stay there for a few hours on end. TJ, myself, Aunt Ginny, and mommy met up with my friend Tracy, my Uncle Bobby, Aunt Danny, and their friend Dave. We had some food (the ever classy KFC which I haven’t had in a million years) took some pictures, and did a bit of a photoshoot with Uncle Bobby, Danny, and Dave. The whole evening was inspired by wine, and love. Who wouldn’t have an absolute blast? Here are some pictures…Enjoy!
