A Day at the Beach {Happy Birthday Mom! 2013} Sassy Mouth Photography
Last year, we all piled in a car and went to the beach for some frolicking, then to eat seafood for my mom’s birthday. She put in the same request for this year, and we decided to freeform the day and go where the wind took us. It took us to Hammonasset State Park Beach, winding along Route 1 and Connecticuts Shoreline, to Bills Seafood, and even up route 9 to Gillette Castle. The video below is from our beach activities, followed by some Gillette Castle photo’s. And when we got home, my sister and Aunt Ginny had set up a wonderful backyard cook out and birthday cake.

Cinco De Salsa {May 5, 2013} Sassy Mouth Photography
There was this pile of ingredients for salsa on our table at Strawberry Park all weekend. It sort of just sat there, tormenting us..until my mom whipped it all up together, and turned it into a magical Cinco De Mayo salsa and guacamole party. I decided to document it. It pretty much goes in order, for those trying to recreate this magic..but my mom always says, she just puts a little of this, a little of that in.

Well, you already saw our Love Parade (if you missed the 2013 PEACE LOVE AND SASSY MOUTH parade wrap up, check that our here) but there is MORE to the Meriden Daffodil Festival than just parading and sharing some peace. There is food, rides, seeing lots of people you know and only ever see at the festival..seeing some people you didn’t even expect to see there…lots of crafts, and other good stuff.
