So long, farewell
Auf Weidersehen, goodbye
Yeah, I watched The Sound of Music the other night. It made me so happy. 2012 was a very happy year for me. Tj and I got to hang out with so many cool people, and share really special moments with all of them. I was honored to be named on of Connecticut Magazine’s 40 under 40 for 2012, be a part of lots of amazing charity events, and travel, while doing my absolute favorite thing..making beautiful photo’s. And some of those photo’s are on such great sites now, I mean, check out those sweet Sassy photo’s on Craft Restaurant’s (yes, THAT one) National Site. Cool, huh? Or how about all the sassy love going on over on the CT Wedding Group site? I mean, we had a PARADE float this year, the Best of Hartford Mag party, The Green Gala, this, and THIS, and T H I S. Just saying. And all of the absolutely wonderful rest. Flip through the months at the bottom of the blog and smile for a while, please comment anytime. Did you notice the comment section changed below? It’s snazy now. Our wedding and portrait business both saw a huge upswing, and that has created such a fantastic opportunity for me to maintain long relationships with my clients, and be a part of their lives as they grow and change.
So, if 2012 was so great, how could we top it in 2013? Sassy Mouth is going into 2013 with a most excellent plan, that’s how. We are taking on less weddings in the New Year in order to give each of our couples even more special sassy love and attention, as well as our packaging and final product are getting all snazzed up. It’s all going to be a bit fancier..cooler..sassier. There will be more going on in The Sassy Space all year long, specials, and events. I am going to start blogging more projects, recipes, and start some photo lesson blogs as well. Also in the works are some very cool collaborations with some excellent vendors and wedding peeps, so I will be doing some personal photo shoot projects. In 2013 TJ and I will be traveling again to WPPI in Las Vegas to do some learning, mingling, and perhaps a little partying. Check out our trip this year, the sites and the conference. Some other branches of Sassy Mouth will be introduced as well, the Sassy Booth is officially open for booking, and talks of some video entering the sassy world have been had.
Oh, and I am going to write a book. Yep. The first one of many, my little heart hopes, but it will feature my brides with curves…cause that’s where it started, and that’s where this will start too. <3
Mostly, I look forward to making some really amazing art in 2013.
I would also like to welcome my new assistant, and possible savior, Daniel Obrien, to the sassy mouth team. He had his orientation the other day, and I can not say enough about how happy I am that he gets me. Ahhhh. Daniel, we are going to rule the world.
Over the past year I have grown as an artist, as a person, as a business woman, and as so much more. I have so many of you to thank for that. SO Happy New Year to you all! I wish you much love, health, and prosperity in the New Year. I also hope to see many of you soon.
Cheers! This New Years Even marks the 10th anniversary from the first smooch between Tj and I, so happy anniversary Teeeeeej!! <3
