All I could think of when getting ready to go photograph our Pocahontas Princess Bride was that is was time to paint with all the colors of the wind. And that it had to be done during this brilliant autumn we are having in New England. Our Pocahontas had been set for a long time, our Krystal of Krystalized Designs had been cast as the perfect Indian Princess way back at the beginning of these photo shoots. At first we had her in mind for Jasmine, but when thinking of her husband Matt, it was an most excellent fit for the couple. Somewhere over the summer, I realized that there would have to be a few Princess' in our series that would less details and more Princess imagery, and this beautiful love story is the first of those, of which there will be four of. They are to compliment the series, and will be a lovely addition once we have them all completed. So...back to painting with the colors of the wind...lol. Fall..it had to be fall...and this one has just been lasting so I can get everything magic that I need to get done, done. I knew the location had to be Castle Craig in Hubbard Park in Meriden, Connecticut. The dress was perfect as soon as I laid eyes on it, thank you to Real Size Bride for it, absolutely beautiful dress. My Sassy team and I went up to the top of the mountain, on the last day it was open for the season, during the last hour, and made some serious magic. Thank you to Anna from Country Girl Collections for Pocahontas' head wrap and bouquet. It was perfect. The light, the tree's, the sky, the two lovebirds. Ah maze ing. Pocahontas was a very real person, daughter of an Indian Chief, she laid her head down to save the life of English Settler John Smith. Gotta love a strong woman. <3 Check out the rest of the series Snow White (CT Bride Mag Feature) Rapunzel Cinderella The Little Mermaid Sleeping Beauty Photography – Sassy Mouth Hair, Makeup, & Modeling - Krystalized Designs Dress - Real Size Bride Head Wrap & Bouquet - Country Girl Collections Join the Sassy Mouth Family on Facebook, all the cool peeps have.
